Data

Indicators data is available in summary table format for on-line viewing or downloading to Excel spreadsheets for all ten theme areas, for various levels of geography and time periods. Use the data selection tools below to determine the indicators, units of geography and time periods to be viewed or downloaded. The Project’s data collection methodology and schedule is described in “About the Data.”

Caveats

For brevity, indicator data definitions and source documentation are not detailed in the summary data tables, but are available in the reports or through these links: Data Definitions/Data Sources.

**Note that all regional demographic and indicator statistics in the reports are for the 14-county region unless otherwise noted. Exceptions include indicators for which data come from the 11 counties in the annual American Community Survey or the 6 counties in the Metropolitan Statistical Area, indicators for which data are not available for one of the two states, or indicators for which data from the two states are incompatible, resulting in separate sub-regional indicators.

***Note also that some indicators are based on county-level data that is itself a ratio and for which the actual number of cases or appropriate weighting values are not available to create a true regional average; thus the regional indicator is based on an un-weighted average of the county ratios, and is noted as such in the data and report documentation.
